Warrior wrestler makes state for second time

For the second consecutive year, Cheyenne Kudrin-Mello was the lone wrestler to represent Chief Leschi at the state wrestling tournament. Last year, he competed at 103 pounds, and this year he moved up to 112 pounds. Even though Cheyenne Kudrin-Mello lost his only two matches of the tournament to Carson Arnold and Christian Almeida of Kittitas, Cheyenne Kudrin-Mello was proud to advance to the Mat Classic yet again. The History of the Presbyterian Church

The history of the Presbyterian Church, located at the entrance at the Puyallup Tribal Cemetery, goes back to the 1860s. Their work began here because of General Grant’s Peace Policy that was implemented by General Milroy, Superintendent for the Washington territory who assigned the Presbyterians to the Puyallup Tribe. Elders get pampered for Valentine's day

Puyallup Tribal elders were treated to a very special Valentine’s Day event Feb. 12 at the Elders Center. Staff and volunteers provided all kinds of professional pampering – haircuts, massages, facials, pedicures and manicures – and a steady stream of elders took part in these gifts throughout the day. Many stayed at the Center afterward for a relaxed candlelight dinner in the dining room, and more elder couples and singles arrived to join them as the afternoon turned to evening. Read more...


Princess Promenade begins Daffodil Festival season
