Puyallup Tribal Treatment Center Hosts annual alumni picnic

It’s that time of the year again, time for the Annual Alumni Picnic for Puyallup Tribal Treatment Center (PTTC). Every summer, on the first Friday of August, all the clean and sober graduates of the treatment center gather to celebrate recovery. This annual event has been held for the better part of 30 years now, and this year is no exception. Although the residential portion of the treatment center program has been closed, and the outpatient and IOP portions have been moved next door to Kwawachee, the picnic still remains. Read more...

New food list for WIC Nutrition Program

Clients of the Washington Wo-men, Infants, and Children (WIC) Nutrition Program will soon see significant changes to their list of approved foods. While fresh fruits and vegetables will be on the list for the first time, some other foods will be dropped. Products such as whole-wheat bread, brown rice, and bulgur are on the list, while some nutritious, higher-priced goods are out. Read more...
