Class of 2010 Senior Trip

by Laura Koval

The Class of 2010 took their senior trip to Idaho this year. They traveled in style on a Coach bus, fully equipped with TVs, and each student got their own row to stretch out. They stayed at the Holiday Inn Express in Hayden that is attached to Triple Play Theme Park and Raptor Reef Water Park.

Their first night the seniors enjoyed an all you-can-eat pizza buffet for dinner and an evening full of go-karts, bumper boats, bowling, laser tag, black-light putt-putt, water slides, the hot tub, and the arcade. The night ended with a late night trip to the movies, where they owned the entire theater and had all of the candy and bottomless popcorn they wanted.

The next day everyone loaded the bus to Silverwood Theme Park and Boulder Beach Water Park. Here the seniors and chaperones enjoyed an entire day full of fun and excitement. The park has over 65 rides, from raging roller coasters and insane 65 mph drops to river rafting rides that soak you with water. The senior favorite was The Aftershock; a rollercoaster that takes you vertical, upside down, into corkscrews at crazy speeds, stops with you hanging, and then does it all over again backwards.

After the whole day in the sun, the group went to Applebee’s to catch the second half of the Celtics and Lakers game and to stuff themselves with milkshakes, bottomless lemonades, mozzarella sticks, French fries, burgers, shrimp and steak. After dinner they were off to a new bowling alley so some could redeem themselves from their scores from the previous night.

The final day of the trip was spent recapping and laughing about the last days that

the seniors had spent together, in between stopping at the malls in Spokane and North Bend to do some much needed shopping. It was an awesome senior trip, a wonderful way to say “see ya later” to the Class of 2010.
