Travis Tritt, the Grammy award-winning American country music singer-songwriter, is making his way to the Emerald Queen Casino.

Travis Tritt will be performing live Feb. 24 following the release of his tenth album, “The Storm,” which debuted September 2007.

The first full-length album for Travis Tritt in three years will give old fans a slightly different flavor to savor, and a new generation of fans something to grasp onto.

Produced by “American Idol” judge Randy Jackson, Travis Tritt’s latest compositions have more of an R&B twist, yet the album still managed to top the Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart at No. 3 – something that is not unusual for the country rock star.

Travis Tritt has sold more than 25 million albums throughout his career and has a lengthy list of bragging rights for a country artist who never quite fit into the cowboy mold.

Starting with the debut single release of “Country Club” in 1989, Travis Tritt has charted more than 30 singles on the U.S. Billboard Hot Country Songs charts, including five No. 1s. His first and third albums  (1989’s “Country Club” and “T-R-O-U-B-L-E”) have each achieved platinum certification by the Recording Industry Association of America, while his albums “It’s All About to Change,” “Greatest Hits: From the Beginning,” and “My Honky Tonk History” have each achieved gold status.

He has also received two Grammy Awards in his musical career, both awards for Best Country Vocal Collaboration in 1992 for “The Whiskey Ain’t Workin’,” a duet with Marty Stuart, and again in 1998 for “Same Old Train,” a collaboration of more than ten country music artists. In addition, he has received three awards from the Country Music Association, and is a member of the Grand Ole Opry.

The 44-year-old musician has turned from a rock-star living the life, to a clean-and-sober family man. His latest album provides a little something for everyone, and his live show should not be missed. But don’t be disappointed when he’s not wearing a cowboy hat like most other country stars – Travis Tritt never was one to follow the crowd.

Tickets range from $50-$80 and can be purchased through Ticketmaster. For more information, call (253) 594-7777 or (888) 831-7655. Must be 21 and older to attend the event.
